Payment Methods

Secure, Flexible, and Hassle-Free Transactions

At Sistabag Magic and Melanin LLC, we believe that purchasing your perfect Leather HandbagClutchEclipse Makeup Bag, or Wallet should be as smooth and enjoyable as carrying it. That is why we have built a payment infrastructure that prioritizes securityspeed, and customer choice. We never want payment friction to stand between you and the magic of melanin.

We partner exclusively with Stripe, a global leader in online payment processing, to handle every transaction on our website, sistabag.store. Through Stripe, we offer a range of payment options including credit cardsdebit cardsApple Pay, and Google Pay. Whether you are shopping from your laptop in Los Angeles or your smartphone in London, you can check out with confidence.

This page explains every payment method we accept, how Stripe protects your financial data, what to do if a transaction fails, and how we handle refunds, chargebacks, and currency conversions. Please read carefully – your financial security is our highest priority.

I. Why We Chose Stripe: The Gold Standard in Payment Processing

Before we dive into the specific payment methods, it is important to understand the engine behind our checkout: Stripe. Stripe is not just another payment gateway; it is the backbone of thousands of leading e-commerce brands, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. We chose Stripe for five compelling reasons:

1. Bank-Level Security (PCI Level 1 Certification)

Stripe is certified as a PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the highest level of security certification available in the payments industry. It means that every transaction you make on sistabag.store is protected by the same encryption and fraud detection systems that major banks use. Your credit card number is never stored on our servers – Stripe tokenizes it instantly.

2. Fraud Prevention & Machine Learning

Stripe’s Radar system uses advanced machine learning to detect and block fraudulent transactions before they go through. This protects you (the customer) from having your card used without your permission, and it protects us from chargeback abuse. If a transaction looks suspicious – for example, an unusually large order from a new IP address – Stripe may flag it for additional verification. This is a feature, not a bug.

3. Fast & Automated Refunds

When you request a refund per our Refund and Return Policy, our team initiates it through Stripe. Stripe processes refunds instantly on our end, though your bank may take 3–7 business days to reflect the credit in your account. Unlike some payment processors that hold funds for weeks, Stripe’s automated system ensures you get your money back as quickly as possible.

4. Seamless Checkout Experience

Stripe integrates directly with our website’s design. You never get redirected to a third-party payment page (which can look suspicious and cause cart abandonment). You enter your details directly on sistabag.store, protected by Stripe’s embedded iframe technology.

5. Global Currency & Payment Method Support

Because we ship internationally, Stripe allows us to accept payments in multiple currencies and from dozens of countries. Whether you have a Visa card from Canada or a Mastercard from Nigeria, Stripe handles the conversion and authorization seamlessly.

II. Payment Methods We Accept

We currently offer five distinct payment methods through Stripe. All of them are available at checkout. You do not need to create a Stripe account – just choose your preferred method and follow the prompts.

A. Credit Cards

We accept all major credit cards:

  • Visa (including Visa借记卡)

  • Mastercard (including Mastercard Debit)

  • American Express (Amex)

  • Discover

  • Diners Club

  • JCB (Japan Credit Bureau – popular with international customers)

How It Works:

  1. At checkout, select “Credit Card.”

  2. Enter your 16-digit card number, expiration date, CVV/CVC (the 3-4 digit security code on the back or front of your card), and billing zip code.

  3. If your card issuer supports 3D Secure (Verified by Visa, Mastercard SecureCode, Amex SafeKey), you may be prompted to enter a one-time passcode sent to your phone or email. This is an extra layer of fraud protection.

  4. Click “Pay Now.” Stripe authorizes the charge instantly. You will see a confirmation page and receive an email receipt from us.

Credit Card Limits: Most personal credit cards have daily or per-transaction limits. If you are making a large purchase (e.g., multiple handbags totaling over $500), please check with your card issuer beforehand to avoid declines.

B. Debit Cards

Yes, we accept debit cards that carry the Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover logo. Debit cards work exactly like credit cards on Stripe, but the funds are withdrawn directly from your checking account.

Important Note on Debit Card Holds: When you place an order, Stripe sends an authorization hold to your bank. This hold may temporarily reduce your available balance by the order amount, even before the charge settles. The hold typically drops off within 1–3 business days if the transaction fails or is canceled. If you are using a debit card with a low balance, please ensure you have sufficient funds plus a small buffer for authorization holds.

C. Apple Pay

For customers using Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac), Apple Pay is the fastest and most secure way to pay on sistabag.store.

How to Use Apple Pay:

  1. At checkout, click the “Apple Pay” button (usually located above the credit card form).

  2. A payment sheet will appear on your screen. Verify your shipping address, contact information, and payment card (the card you have set as default in your Apple Wallet).

  3. Authenticate using Face IDTouch ID, or your device passcode.

  4. The transaction completes in under two seconds. You do not need to manually type your card number or billing address.

Why We Love Apple Pay for You:

  • Tokenization: Apple Pay never shares your actual card number with us. Instead, it creates a unique “device account number” that Stripe uses for that transaction only.

  • Biometric Security: Even if someone steals your phone, they cannot authorize a payment without your face or fingerprint.

  • Privacy: We never see your name or card details beyond what is necessary to ship your order.

Compatibility: Apple Pay works on Safari browser (iOS, macOS), as well as in supported apps. If you are using Chrome or Firefox on a Mac, Apple Pay may not appear – please use Safari for the best experience.

D. Google Pay

For Android users and Chrome browser fans, Google Pay offers a similarly frictionless checkout experience.

How to Use Google Pay:

  1. At checkout, click the “Google Pay” button.

  2. A pop-up window will appear showing your saved payment methods (credit cards, debit cards, or even PayPal if linked to your Google account).

  3. Select the card you wish to use and confirm your shipping address.

  4. Authenticate using your device’s screen lock (PIN, pattern, fingerprint, or face unlock).

  5. Click “Pay” – Stripe processes the transaction instantly.

Benefits of Google Pay:

  • Works across Android phones, tablets, and Wear OS devices.

  • Also works on Chrome browser for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chromebooks.

  • Uses virtual account numbers to protect your real card details.

  • Can store loyalty cards and gift cards (though we do not currently offer gift cards – stay tuned).

Note on Google Pay Availability: Google Pay is available in over 40 countries. If you are checking out from a region where Google Pay is not supported, the button will be hidden automatically.

E. Additional Stripe Payment Methods (Coming Soon)

As we grow, we plan to enable additional payment options through Stripe, including:

  • Afterpay / Klarna (Buy Now, Pay Later – 4 interest-free installments)

  • iDEAL (popular in the Netherlands)

  • Bancontact (Belgium)

  • SEPA Direct Debit (for European customers)

If you would like to see a specific payment method added, please email ngocanh21.hn@gmail.com with the subject line “Payment Request.” We prioritize features based on customer demand.

III. What We Do NOT Accept

To avoid confusion, here are payment methods we cannot accept at this time:

  • Cash (we are an online-only store – no physical retail location yet)

  • Personal checks (too slow and risky)

  • Money orders (cannot be processed via Stripe)

  • Wire transfers (high fees and slow settlement)

  • Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. – though we are exploring this for the future)

  • PayPal (We chose Stripe over PayPal due to Stripe’s better fraud protection and lower hold periods. However, if you have a PayPal debit card, you can use it as a standard card.)

Why No PayPal? Many customers ask this. The short answer: Stripe offers a more seamless checkout experience (no redirects) and better customer support for merchants. We also found that Stripe’s chargeback resolution process is fairer to small businesses. If you absolutely require PayPal, please email us – we may be able to send you a manual invoice, but it will take longer.

IV. How Stripe Protects Your Data (Technical Deep Dive)

We want you to understand exactly how safe your information is. Stripe employs multiple layers of security:

Encryption (TLS 1.2+)

All data transmitted between your browser and Stripe’s servers is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS) – the same protocol used by online banking portals. Look for the padlock icon in your browser’s address bar when you are on the checkout page.

Tokenization

When you enter your card number on sistabag.store, Stripe immediately converts it into a unique token (a random string of characters like tok_visa_1fG3k...). This token is what we store temporarily to process the charge. Your actual card number is never saved in our website’s database. Even if our website were hacked (which we prevent with firewalls and regular audits), the hacker would find only useless tokens.

3D Secure Authentication

Stripe supports 3D Secure 2 (also known as PSD2 compliance in Europe). This protocol adds an extra verification step for certain transactions. For example, if you are buying a $300 leather handbag from a new device, your bank may send a push notification to your phone asking “Is this you?” You approve it, and the transaction goes through. This dramatically reduces fraud.

PCI DSS Compliance

Stripe is audited annually against the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). As a merchant using Stripe, we are partially relieved of PCI compliance burdens because Stripe handles the most sensitive parts. However, we still undergo annual self-assessments to ensure our own systems (website hosting, customer data storage) are secure.

Fraud Detection (Stripe Radar)

Stripe Radar evaluates hundreds of signals in real time:

  • Is the IP address associated with known fraud?

  • Is the shipping address significantly different from the billing address?

  • Is the order unusually large for this customer’s history?

  • Has the card been reported stolen?

If Radar flags a transaction as high-risk, Stripe may block it automatically or ask for additional verification. Legitimate customers sometimes get blocked erroneously – if this happens to you, please email ngocanh21.hn@gmail.com immediately and we will work with Stripe to release the hold.

  • Google Pay (if on supported device)

Step 6: Enter Payment Details

VI. Payment Failures & Error Codes (What To Do)

Sometimes payments are declined. It is frustrating, but usually fixable. Here are common error messages from Stripe and how to resolve them:

Error Message Meaning Solution
“Your card has insufficient funds.” You do not have enough money in your account (debit) or available credit (credit). Use a different card or contact your bank to increase your limit.
“Invalid CVV.” You entered the 3-4 digit security code incorrectly. Check the back of your card (for Visa/Mastercard/Discover) or the front (Amex). Retry carefully.
“Card declined by issuer.” Your bank blocked the transaction for their own reasons (fraud suspicion, travel flag, etc.). Call the number on the back of your card and ask them to allow the charge. Then retry.
“Your card does not support this type of purchase.” Some prepaid cards or corporate purchasing cards restrict online retail. Use a different card.
“3D Secure authentication failed.” You failed the additional verification step (entered wrong code, timed out). Retry and have your phone ready for the verification text or app notification.
“Transaction amount exceeds daily limit.” Your bank has a per-transaction cap. Contact your bank to raise the limit, or split your order into multiple smaller orders (note: shipping costs may apply to each).
“Apple Pay not available.” You are using a non-supported browser or device. Use credit card entry instead, or switch to Safari on iOS/macOS.

If none of these work: Email ngocanh21.hn@gmail.com with a screenshot of the error message (do not include your full card number!). We can investigate from our Stripe dashboard and sometimes reset the payment session for you.

VII. Refunds, Credits, and Chargebacks

How Refunds Work

When you initiate a return per our Refund and Return Policy, our team processes the refund through Stripe. Here is the timeline:

  1. We approve your return and receive the item at our warehouse (if applicable).

  2. Within 48 hours, we log into Stripe and issue a full or partial refund.

  3. Stripe sends the refund to your bank or card issuer instantly.

  4. Your bank takes 3–7 business days to post the credit to your account. (Some banks take up to 10 days.)

  5. You will receive an automated refund confirmation email from us and from Stripe.

Important: We cannot speed up your bank’s processing. If it has been more than 10 business days since we confirmed the refund, please contact your bank first. If they have no record, then email us and we will provide the Stripe reference ID.

Partial Refunds & Adjustments

If you keep part of your order and return only one item, we issue a partial refund. Stripe handles this seamlessly. You may see two separate credits on your statement: one for the product and one for the tax/shipping adjustment (if applicable).

Chargebacks: What They Are and How to Avoid Them

chargeback occurs when you dispute a transaction directly with your credit card issuer instead of requesting a refund from us. Common reasons for chargebacks include:

  • You do not recognize the charge (forgetting you bought from Sistabag).

  • You claim the product never arrived (when tracking shows delivered).

  • You claim the product was defective but never contacted us first.

Our Policy on Chargebacks: We take chargebacks very seriously because they harm our merchant standing with Stripe. Before filing a chargeback, please contact us first at ngocanh21.hn@gmail.com or +84369909540. In 99% of cases, we can resolve your issue faster than your bank can process a chargeback. If you file a chargeback without contacting us, we will automatically dispute it with Stripe, providing tracking numbers, delivery confirmation, and your communication history. This can delay any potential refund by 60–90 days.

If you need to file a legitimate chargeback (e.g., your card was stolen and used on our site), please contact your bank immediately. We will cooperate fully with Stripe’s investigation.

VIII. Currency & International Payments

What Currencies Do We Accept?

Our default currency is US Dollars (USD). All prices on sistabag.store are displayed in USD. However, Stripe allows customers with international cards to pay in their local currency through dynamic currency conversion.

How It Works:

  1. When you enter your card (which may be denominated in CAD, GBP, EUR, etc.), Stripe detects the card’s billing country.

  2. On the checkout page, you will see a message: “Pay in [your currency] – exchange rate 1 USD = X [currency].”

  3. You can choose to pay in USD or your local currency.

  4. If you choose local currency, Stripe does the conversion at the current wholesale exchange rate (plus a small fee from your bank, typically 0.5–1.5%).

Recommendation: Generally, it is cheaper to pay in USD if your credit card has no foreign transaction fees. If your card charges a foreign transaction fee (often 3%), then paying in your local currency may be better. We cannot advise on your specific card – please check with your bank.

Supported Countries for Payment

Stripe supports card payments from virtually every country in the world. However, due to sanctions and fraud risks, we cannot accept payments from:

  • North Korea

  • Iran

  • Syria

  • Crimea region (Ukraine)

  • Cuba

If your country is not listed above, you should be able to pay. If you receive a “country not supported” error, please email us.

Taxes & Duties

Stripe automatically calculates sales tax for US customers based on the shipping address. For international customers, Stripe does not collect import duties or VAT. You are responsible for paying any customs fees upon delivery (see our Shipping Policy for details). The amount you pay on sistabag.store is strictly for the product and our shipping/handling.

IX. Apple Pay & Google Pay: Detailed Comparison

Both methods are excellent, but they have slight differences:

Feature Apple Pay Google Pay
Supported Devices iPhone, iPad, Mac (with Touch ID or Face ID) Android phones, tablets, Wear OS, Chrome browser
Authentication Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode Screen lock (PIN, pattern, fingerprint, face unlock)

X. Frequently Asked Questions About Payment

Q1: Is it safe to enter my credit card on sistabag.store?

A: Yes. Our checkout is powered by Stripe, a PCI Level 1 certified processor. Your card number is encrypted and tokenized. We never see your full card number.

Q2: Do you save my payment information for future purchases?

A: Not unless you explicitly check the box “Save my card for future purchases.” Even then, we only store a token (not the actual number). You can delete saved cards from your account dashboard.

Q3: Why was I charged more than the price shown?

A: Possible reasons: (1) Sales tax added at checkout, (2) Shipping fees, (3) Your bank’s foreign transaction fee (if you are outside the US), (4) Dynamic currency conversion markup. Always review the final total before clicking “Place Order.”

Q4: Can I use multiple payment methods for one order (e.g., two credit cards)?

A: No, Stripe does not support split payments across multiple cards for a single transaction. You must use one payment method per order.

Q5: I see a pending charge on my card but no order confirmation. What happened?

A: This is an authorization hold. It will drop off automatically within 3–7 business days if the transaction did not complete. Common causes: you closed the browser before finishing, your bank declined but still put a hold, or a network error. Email us if the hold remains after 10 days.

Q6: Do you accept Bitcoin or cryptocurrency?

A: Not at this time. We may add crypto support via Stripe’s future offerings.

Q7: My payment went through but I received an error message. What now?

A: Do not attempt to pay again immediately – that could double-charge you. First, check your email for a confirmation from us. If none arrives within 10 minutes, check your bank statement to see if the charge is posted or just pending. Then email ngocanh21.hn@gmail.com with details. We will verify the order status.

Q8: How do I get a receipt for my purchase?

A: We email a receipt immediately after successful payment. You can also log into your account on sistabag.store and view “Order History” to download a PDF invoice.
